University of Michigan Medical School

The Medical School was the University of Michigan's first professional school. Today, thousands of patients pass through our doors, 170 new physicians graduate from our Medical School, and hundreds more engage in graduate studies. From the beginning, we have known how to put patients first, when to push the boundaries of science and medicine, and how to design successful curricula.

Global REACH

Originally spearheaded by Dean James Woolliscroft, Global REACH had its genesis in the late 1990s. Our goal, then and now, is to enhance opportunities for educational exchanges among students and faculty, facilitate international research collaborations, and provide opportunities for visiting scholars to benefit from expertise available at Michigan.

Continuing Medical Education

The Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) is a unit of the Department of Medical Education, a department that brings together the University of Michigan (U-M) Medical School's resources and expertise in educational research, development and delivery for medical students, residents and practicing physicians.

OCME designates credit for all University of Michigan Medical School CME activities and produces activities for physicians and other health care professionals in our region and nationally. All CME activities are developed in collaboration with relevant clinical departments of the U-M Medical School. The Office of Continuing Medical Education is pleased to sponsor openMed at Michigan.
